Cybersecurity Specialist – London/hybrid - £45-£55k

We’re seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Security Engineer to play a key role in safeguarding our digital environment. In this position, you’ll be supporting our ongoing efforts to stay secure and resilient, working directly with our Security Operations Manager and various external partners—including a dedicated 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC).

You’ll be responsible for keeping a close watch on our security tools and services, responding to any incidents as they arise, and helping to fine-tune our defences. Your insights will be crucial in spotting and addressing vulnerabilities before they become problems, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore new ways to strengthen our systems.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with IT colleagues to ensure that security is considered at every stage of our projects, making sure best practices are followed and risks are minimized.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll have a solid background in cybersecurity or a related field, with hands-on experience using a range of security tools—think anti-malware, content filtering, SIEM, and threat detection platforms. Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS is important, as is experience liaising with technology vendors and managed service providers.

Professional certifications are a plus, especially if you’re currently working towards them.

But technical know-how is just the start. We’re looking for someone who’s analytical, pays attention to the details, and can think on their feet when new threats emerge. You should be comfortable making suggestions for improvement, working across different teams, and juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
