  • Building clean, maintainable backend services and APIs to support environmental data pipelines

  • Creating intuitive front‑end interfaces that make complex information accessible to diverse audiences

  • Contributing to architecture decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement across the engineering function

  • Supporting the organisation’s shift toward more automated, scalable, and open digital platforms

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • Strong experience with Python and at least one modern web framework (e.g., Django, FastAPI, Flask)

  • Solid front‑end skills with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React or Vue

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines

  • Understanding of data structures, APIs, and distributed systems

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with non‑technical stakeholders

  • Passion for environmental issues, sustainability, or mission‑driven work
