
QA Engineer / Software Tester
Contract | Up to £450 per day | Remote (UK)

We are working with a leading UK technology consultancy that's looking to engage an experienced QA Engineer who has worked in projects with the stack C#, SQL, Javascript, React and Next.js to support the delivery of a number of high-profile digital transformation programmes.

Joining an established Agile-focused delivery team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of modern software solutions, working closely with Developers, Business Analysts and Product Owners throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is a hands-on testing role, suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple projects and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

The Role
Â
You will be responsible for planning, designing and executing test activities across a range of web-based applications and APIs, helping to ensure new functionality is delivered to a high standard. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, identifying defects early, improving test coverage and supporting continuous improvement across the QA function.

Key Responsibilities
Design and execute manual and automated test cases.
Create test plans, test scripts and acceptance test scenarios.
Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
Work closely with Developers and Business Analysts to validate requirements.
Log, investigate and track defects through to resolution.
Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and release activities.
Contribute to test automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure software meets agreed quality standards before release.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Commercial experience in a Software QA or Test Analyst role.
Experience working in projects with the stack C#, SQL, Javascript, React and Next.jsÂ
Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
Strong understanding of Agile delivery environments.
Experience creating test plans, test cases and defect reports.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar would be advantageous, as would experience working within consultancy or client-facing environments.
